A Week, Briefly (11/11/19)
Family Night: We roasted jumbo marshmallows in the fire pit. |
Monday
Veteran's Day was not a day off school for any of our local districts. Last week, school was cancelled for Election Day, so in spite of closed banks, empty mail boxes, seriously freezing temperatures, and freezing rain/sleet/snow the students studied on.
Which means my teens had to get to seminary (Sir Walter Scott drove them).
After the previous two weeks in a semi-off state, we had school at home planned no matter what.

Morning Meeting
Dr. appt for me (medication change for treating depression)/Independent school for teens and tweens
Little kid park outing
After the initial outburst of energy, most of the kids settled into creative nature play--leaves as plates, mulch as serving utensils, bits of leftover snow and Osage Oranges as food |
Sir Walter Scott and Brother joined us after running some errands together. Baymax climbed on Daddy, "Oh, Daddy! There's something in your whiskers!" |
Lunch
Quiet time for kids at home/Therapy for Brother and me
Outdoor play for little kids
Baking cookies for tweens/Continued independent school for teens/Kind of vague doing nothing for me that turned into updating this weekly blog post
No crises today because Sir Walter Scott kept Brother with him most of the day. The day isn't over yet, but I'm hoping for a good end . . .
because Sir Walter Scott is bringing pizza home in a few minutes--gluten-free/dairy-free for some of the kids, traditional stuff for the rest of us.
I hope Friday did close out with peace. I pray for you all every day. I know this is such a very hard season and I hope that more and more help comes your way. Then dance pictures look great.
