A Week, Briefly (6/24/19)

The whole primary got mustaches during singing time at church.
It was a hard week.

Ladybug, Brother, and Beowulf have been very challenging.

As in throwing bricks, breaking stuff off cars (our own), stealing eggs and smashing them to the ground off the deck challenging.

"Surfing" down the artificial turf hill!

But Pixie worked and danced all week, and we think she's finally found an alarm clock that wakes her up in the morning.  It has a strobe light and a volume adjuster that allows it to get really, really loud.

With dance classes starting at 7:45 am this fall, she'll need it!

Super Star, Belle, and Nature Angel spent the week at Girls' Camp.

Nature Angel, freshly home and showing us all of the pins she earned!

Little Princess missed her big sisters dreadfully.  She took care of all of the animals every day, stuck close to me, and read a lot of books.

Ladybug completed 3 math lessons and another week of spelling.  She passed off the very difficult for her "whose."

We went to the park several times, went swimming with friends, attended a library show about the science behind Apollo 11, played in water in our yard, and finished week 9 of Myself and Others.

Little Princess, Mister Man, and I read Babe, The Gallant Pig by Dick King-Smith.

And the kids picked mulberries and ate them directly from the tree.

Comments

  1. Ugg! The breaking of stuff. It was constant when Katie was small. I am sorry it was a hard week.
    Blessings, Dawn

  2. Ah, summer. Do you think the change of routines has affected some of the kids? We deal with that a little bit here, although not quite to the same extent. Prayers for patience and grace. <3

  3. I am sorry for the difficulties this week! I hope next week is much, much better. I love all of the photos of the children playing outside (summer feels like it is flying by to me!) and the mustaches are too cute!
